Samsung Cloud app comes preinstalled on all Samsung phones and offers a quick data backup solution for all your contacts, photos, videos, and apps. This app allows you to back up your data to Samsung servers.

This app works the same way as Google Drive, but now it has a few limitations. Samsung Cloud used to be able to back up everything, but in 2021, Samsung discontinued support for Gallery Sync and My Files from the service.

This means that this backup app from Samsung can no longer back up your photos, videos, and device documents. To do that, you have to use Google Photos instead.

But this does not mean that you can not use the Samsung Cloud app for anything. On your phone, go to Settings > Accounts and backup. Under Samsung Cloud, tap Back up data.

Here select all the things you want to back up by turning on the toggle switches. Tap Back up now and wait for the backup to complete.

After the 2021 policy change, you can use Samsung Cloud to store data from your Phone app including enhanced messages, multimedia messages, and text messages.

It can save your contact’s names, numbers, email addresses, groups, and birthdays. Including your phone’s saved Wi-Fi networks, paired Bluetooth devices, Always On Display settings, accessibility settings, and Samsung Keyboard settings.
