More about Waze - GPS, Maps & Traffic
Waze is a community-powered mapping and navigation app that gives you real-time traffic information and road alerts. It is the world’s largest community-based traffic and maps/navigation app.
Join drivers in your area who share real-time traffic & road info to save time, and fuel and improve daily commuting for all.
Just by driving with Waze open, you’re already contributing tons of real-time traffic information to your local community.
Waze is specifically designed for road navigation while in a car. You won’t get any transit results like the one Google Maps offers while navigating on foot.
Using Waze to Navigate
Do we get traffic Jam notifications on Waze?
If you are moving slowly and a few other users are also slow on the same location on a similar road then it will estimate a traffic jam. The app distills all of this into usable traffic data for you to see on the screen. Road closures due to extensive construction are accurately represented and on time.
What are other traffic notifications that we get with the Waze app?
Slow traffic, incidents and accidents, and police presence and speed cameras are possible triggers for notifications. Waze also occasionally shows pop-up ads for nearby businesses, once you stop at a red light or park your car.
Can you manage the app in driving mode?
Once in driving mode, you can control the app via voice command to stay hands-free and safe.
Where can we get Waze Support?
This voice input uses your phone’s native voice input system, for example, Google Voice typing for the Android version of the app. You may visit the Waze support center for more information if you want to know more about Waze – GPS, Maps & Traffic.
Can we locate charging spots on the Waze app?
