Looking to upgrade your House with Xiaomi Smart Devices? If yes then the MiHome app from Xiaomi is your control panel for all the IoT devices that will make your life easy around the house. With this app, you will be able to connect and control all the devices through your Wifi.
Although the latest updates to Xiaomi MiHome in 2020 have taken care of most of the bugs, still this APP contains a large number of settings that you will have to get a grip on in order to properly control all of the smart devices at your home.
Download MiHome app to control Xiaomi Smart Devices
To control your Xiaomi Smart devices by your Android, or Google Assistant, you will need to link your Mi Device to with Mi Home app. To do this the first step is to install the app on your android smartphone by clicking on the download button. Install the APK file and open the app.
Register your information in MiHome or log in to an existing one. Turn your device on, please keep the device near your phone, and open the MiHome app. You may see a prompt that detects your device. Tap “OK” to connect. If the prompt doesn’t appear, you can also add devices manually by tapping the Plus icon ＋.
If none are detected, click “Add manually” to search your device. After your device connected to your Mi Home app, to use Xiaomi Smart
devices with Assistant, you need to add Mi Home service in the Assistant app. You also need to link your Mi account to the Google Assistant app for convenience and ease of control.
In your Android phone settings, you can find “Home Control” in services. Then click home control, you can see DEVICES and ROOMS. Then, tap ＋ in the lower right corner. In the Add devices page, there will be a list of supported apps, browse and select Mi Home. Your mobile browser will open and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the linking process.
In MiHome “Shared Devices” tab, you can set up sharing of your smart devices, to give access to the devices to family members. The tab contains 2 bookmarks: My devices and Shared with me. This way your family can easily control the devices from their apps when you are not around.
