As you fight and win battles in real-time, your character levels up, evolves, and learns new attacks. Evolutions reset after every match, though, so the long-term training of mainline Pokémon games is absent here.

Matches are on a 10-minute timer with the winning team being whichever squad scores the most points before the buzzer sounds. There are plenty of opportunities to outplay and outsmart your opponents using a combination of your skills, items, and the terrain itself.

They have introduced cool outfits and bizarre skins. This is the first Pokémon game to put a Gengar in a spacesuit, and Blastoise in a tweed suit. Players also get the options for customization for the trainer.
