Minecraft Earth is an augmented reality game that lets you play Minecraft in the real world. Yup, its got the Pokemon Go Vibes to keep your head rolling out in the public. Just pop out your phone and start building Minecraft stuff in your neighborhood or when in the park.

The app is easy to download and install (just click the download button above to Download Minecraft Earth) and you can sign in using your Microsoft account. Accept the Terms of Service which ask you not to trespass or operate a vehicle while you’re playing the game.  And you will be good to go.

Playing Minecraft Earth on your Phone

Once you are past the sign in and Terms its time to pick your avatar. Easily customize and choose how your character would look, go through a brief tutorial, and then start exploring. The app will sync with your current location and will provide you a map of your neighborhood to explore after you Download Minecraft Earth.

Now the fun part starts. The world around you will be Minecrafted. You can tap around on points of interest to mine at that spot for materials. For ease of building, you can switch to its tabletop mode. In this mode Easily build items on a smaller scale and place them in the real world at life-size.

Or you can always bring in your friends and work on Mini Minecraft Earth Build projects. This way each you can take care of different tasks and finish quickly. Don’t have any friends that play Minecraft in augmented reality? Worry no more. As you will be able to meet like-minded players in the online community.

There’s a lot more to the game that I didn’t have a chance to dig into — including adventures, which are limited-time, procedurally generated Minecraft worlds placed over the real world, collaborative building, daily challenges, and a character creation system.
