More about Mario Kart Tour
Mario Kart Tour is a simple fun racing game featuring all the famous Mario characters. In Mario Kart Tour, you play as one of the characters from the Mario series as they head out for a dangerous afternoon of Go-Karting. The game features all the famous tracks from the console version of the game. The go-cart accelerates automatically and the players just have to steer. Each race puts you up against a field of seven AI-controlled competitors.
To play Mario Kart Tour you will need to link your existing Nintendo account to it or create a new one. Just like any other car game you have to win races in order to progress. There are three levels of competition available in the base game — 50, 100, and 150cc Go-Karts. There are a series of cup events, each of which involves a handful of races, and once you earn enough stars you’ll unlock the next cup to play through. Because the car accelerates automatically players can focus on catching powerups on the track. You can also try Asphalt 8.
The races take place in familiar spots like Cheep Cheep Lagoon and Rock Rock Mountain, but, like the controls, they’ve been extremely simplified. Whether you’re speeding across a city or an underwater course, everything is straightforward. The courses are full of alternate routes, sudden hazards, big jumps, ramps, and boost panels. Along with the arsenal of Mario Kart items and powerups.
The steering is a little “tricky” and you will have to get used to it eventually. You’re often better off doing as little as possible to guide your go-kart. It’s easy to over correct and end up out of control. The racers are very short with each stage not longer than 2 minutes. The only racing you can actually do in Mario Kart Tour is progressing through the “Cups,” batches of three tracks with a simple challenge at the end.
