The Amazon Halo app lets you connect and track your Halo band to monitor activity. The app in sync with the band has four main features: the ability to track your activity, sleep, tone of voice, and body fat percentage.

The Amazon Halo app automatically tracks the intensity and duration of your movement, as well as your sedentary time. Taking these factors into account, it gives you an Activity Score.

At night the app tracks your shut-eye, then gives you a sleep score from zero to 100 based on the duration and quality of your rest. And then displays them in boxes named Activity, sleep, tone, and Body.

The Body feature uses your smartphone’s camera to measure your body fat percentage and create a personalized 3D model you can use to track your trends. Amazon says its body fat percentage tool is as accurate as methods doctors use.

When you first time starts using the tracker you will need to set up your nutrition preferences, record your voice for tone analysis, do a short movement assessment, and take a body composition scan.

That last part is admittedly a bit awkward as it asks you to strip down to your underwear before using the camera on your phone to take a scan.

A Discover section in the Amazon Halo app offers workouts and programs created by Amazon’s in-house experts and a number of third-party partners, including Headspace, Lifesum, Orangetheory Fitness, and Weight Watchers.

The View can track your heart rate, steps, calories burned, and sedentary time, calculate a nightly sleep score (after syncing with the app), and generate a weekly “activity score.” It figures that based on your steps and exercise sessions, minus some points for sedentary time.
